Up until 2006 OTKRITIE Commercial Bank focused on creation and development of the standard distribution network based on the common format of offices, areas, brand marketing.

As part of the announced Development Strategy in 2006 the Bank fully renewed the line of retail products, all major business and operational processes were reformed, the Moscow network of offices was expanded, new points of sale were opened in the regions.

Implementation of new products allowed to upgrade the quality of the operations performed by the Bank offices, and to attract new clients to the offices. Currently there are over 150 thousand individual clients that are being serviced at the Bank. The Bank is traditionally one of the leaders in the market by the amount of funds raised from individuals, inching 3 places up over the previous year and holding the 35th place by 2006 results, and plus 3 positions this year with 32nd place in 3Q 2007 as per rating of Central Economic Agency of Interfax. According to the Development Strategy, by the end of 2007 the Bank is planning to enter Top 30 Russian banks by the amount of retail deposits.

In 2006 the amount of retail deposits reached 11.2 bln Rbl (USD 427 mln), increasing over the year by 83%. This indicator is almost twice as high as the average for the general Russian banking system, which amounted to 38% in 2006, according to the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. In 1H 2007 the deposits volume grew by 35,7% up to 15.2 bln Rbl (USD 588 mln).

Most of the deposits from retail clients are the average-term deposits. Over 80% of all retail deposits are the deposits placed for the term from 180 days up to 3 years.

Retail loans for the Bank primarily mean such banking products as general purpose consumer loans and car loans.

An important component of the services offered both to individuals and to corporate clients is the issue of plastic cards of international payment systems, such as Visa International, MasterCard International and Diners Club International.

In order to improve the quality of services and to simplify the procedures, the Bank established its own processing center in 2005. In the same year the Bank received the status of a Principal Member in the Visa International payment system. From 2006 the Bank started issuing the cards denominated in Euros.

At the moment the number of active plastic cards exceeds 75 thousand cards.

Bank OTKRITIE has been actively increasing the ATM network, which at the moment totals up to over 110 units. By the number of ATM’s in Moscow, the Bank is among Top 30 of the largest Russian banks by 2006 results (RBC rating).
